Ready Set Indie Games Live Streams: Worms Rumble (Switch)

The Following game Worms Rumble was provided to me for free by the developers/publishers of the game. I would like to thank the developers/publishers for providing a free copy of the game to play on my stream.

In this Live Stream, Ready Set Indie Games plays Worms Rumble on Switch.

Worms Rumble is an all-out battle PVP game featuring the loveable worms from the Worms series. Before I begin my review about Worms Rumble I would like to take the time to thank Team 17 for providing me with a free copy of the game to play on the Nintendo Switch. To be honest, I had never played a Worms game before. However, I was told that the worm games can be a lot of fun and so that is what piqued my interest in the game.

One of the things that I can say I really enjoyed about the game was that it was cross-platform and cross-play, which is becoming a lot more popular now. It is now making games whose servers might have died due to a lack of players keep their servers from shutting down. So although that was cool there are some things that could be tweaked with the game to make it play better.

The game offers 4 different game modes, and it appears that Team Deathmatch seems to be the popular mode for the game. So I played the Team Deathmatch. Due to the fact that I played the game online for the stream, I did like that you could turn off the nameplates of the characters. However, I had no idea who my enemies were, so it would be nice to have the health plates of your enemies shown so you know who you are supposed to attack.

Another thing that was a bit confusing for me is figuring out what team I was on. When you load into the game, I will admit I don't remember if it shows what time you are on, but it would have been nice to have so indicator telling you in-game what team you are on. Be it that the worms are either blue or red. Maybe they wear a bandana or if you have nameplates on, then your name also shows up in the color of the team you are on.

The controls for the game are pretty good, but the only thing is that trying to remember the controls. As you can see in the video I think a lot of people were confused, myself included on whom I was supposed to attack. I managed to get a kill in and I don't even know-how. So it needs to be less confusing. The idea of the game is a good one, but to me, I feel like if it was tweaked a bit, the game would be received better.
