In this gameplay video, Ready Set Indie Games plays Let's Build A Zoo Demo on PC.
This is the Steam Game Fest Demo of Let's A Build A Zoo and therefore is either an alpha
version or beta version demo of the game. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in the final version of the game, also there may be some noticeable bugs in the game.
Let's Build A Zoo is
a beautiful pixel-art simulation game, in where you ask to build a new zoo in a town. The game starts off with you having a naked grounds area in which you get to build the zoo. You get to build enclosures for the animals among other things. In order to advance
your zoo. What makes this game a lot of fun for me is having the ability to have a set of tasks because when I play games I tend to like objectives to work towards and this game gives you objectives that also teach you the workings of the game.
The controls were rather simple and not over complicated which makes it a game that you can relax with and get lost in for hours. One of the things I didn't like is that once you build a habitat for an animal you can change
its size you have to tear down the whole habitat and rebuild it. Another thing I didn't like was when you get animals from other zoos or from the rescue it didn't make it clear that you need to have a habitat build for them before bringing them to the zoo.
If you don't have one prior you have to put them in one of the habitats that you already have. Also, if you build a habitat afterwards there was no way to transfer that animal from that habitat to another one.
this is the early build of the game there is room for improvements and changes, and the things I didn't like weren't enough for me to not like that game. I looked at them more as player mistakes and learned from them. Other than that if you enjoy simulation
games and want to relax. I recommend giving Let's Build A Zoo's demo a try. You won't be disappointed.
If you would like to play for yourself, you can get the demo during Steam Next Fest which is going on from
