In this Live Stream, Ready Set Indie Games plays Game Dev Masters on PC.

Game Dev Masters is a game dev simulation game that will be releasing on June 3, 2021, into early access on Steam. So because this is an early access game I know that there are things that can be done to make the game better before it initially releases. The video above gives you some gameplay footage of the game. However, I have played the game off of stream as well to give a better understanding of the game, because the night that I covered the game there was some things that didn't seem to work properly and so I wanted to play the game to see if I could understand it a little bit better.

I will admit I am glad that I did play it off-stream as well because I find the game to be a lot of fun. It's clear that the team gain inspiration from Game Dev Tycoon and added more features to the game, that works very well. The night that a stream this the game was a bit overwhelming and confusing, so having that extra to play it in my own leisure was awesome.
Mainly, because I was able to focus more on the game and its mechanics.

In the beginning, I was trying to rush the game a bit, which resulted in me have three failed games. It was then that when I was able to take a breather that I was able to channel why I enjoyed Game Dev Tycoon and why I ultimately enjoy Game Dev Masters even more. I will admit that I didn't like the game's music so once I put on music from Pretzel Rocks. I was able to zone out to the music and the game and it made me appreciate it more.

You of course have to train your workers and do research for things, in order to become a better game developer. In the beginning, you're going to want to do a lot of training and contract work, that way you can research game engines and get the parts to make a really good game engine. In the beginning, I made three games thinking I would generate income, and I actually lost out on income. Listen learned if your training is not up to par your game is doomed to fail.

I did a lot of Contract Work in the beginning as well. I like the fact the even if you do Contract Work and don't complete it you still get paid for what you did and it didn't seem to penalize and that was really cool, so I tend to look for the ones that took the longest and then did the ones that were shorter.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the fact that you could do deep-dive research. So instead of researching smaller things, you could select a genre, type of game, and what audiences it worked for giving you a chance to make an even better game. Of course, the game is based on trial and error, but after doing some much-needed research I ended up making a pretty decent game and started generating income.

Some of the cool things that I liked in the game were the abilities to update current game engines, and update the equipment that your workers use. I also like that the game had effects such as it would rain, and you can also change the look and feel of your office. As I stated before you can change the music that plays, but the music at times seem to clash or didn't appear to be appealing, so I left on the Sound Effects and turned on Pretzel Rocks, and after getting to play this on and off-stream I can say that Game Dev Masters is a game that would be worth picking up in Early Access and I am looking forward to seeing how the game does in Early Access and in it's full release.
