Ready Set Indie Games Live Streams: Geminose: Animal Popstars (Nintendo Switch)

The Following game Geminose: Animal Popstars was provided to me for free by the developers/publishers of the game. I would like to thank the developers/publishers for providing a free copy of the game to play on my stream.

In this Live Stream, Ready Set Indie Games plays Geminose: Animal Popstars on Nintendo Switch.

Geminose: Animal Popstars is a game that is not only a rhythm and music game, but has numerous different mini-games that you can play. You go on an adventure with Nimmy and Smudge who look like they could be sisters. They both have a dream about a big concert that the Geminose's plays. The Geminose are animals whose noses are Gems and they are popstars, which each Geminose having something different and unique to offer to the band. The two sisters decide that we are now going to be the manager of the band, and recruit more members to join.

I will say that the game does appear to be generated towards children, at least at first that's what I was getting from the game, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, the game then adds other mini-games to the game that can be enjoyed by anyone. There is a mini-game in which you play as one of the Geminose's and you cook food for the house that the Geminose's live in. There is another game in which is combines spot the differences and decorating, where you look at the picture and see what the Geminose would like in their room and then buy it. So all in all the game can be enjoyed by anyone really.

Each time you complete a game or a level on the map you get a chance to get either a Geminose, equipment, and other things. Another thing is that as you gain more fans you get a chance to spin for mash-ups which are super fans of the Geminose. So you can collect all of the Mash-ups and Geminoses and keep up with the ones you have and the ones you don't have.

In the terms of controls, the game only uses joy-cons and they are to be used separately. I will say that the game is can be played sitting down, but I do believe it is a game that is meant for you to stand up and play. I tried both sitting and standing and I the control responded both ways, so I also think that if the switch is blocked then there is a chance the joy-cons won't register. How you can recalibrate them at any time during the game by hitting the R button and that tends to fix the issue.

Overall, I really did enjoy Geminose: Animal Popstars and thought the game was cute and adorable, and I do recommend it if you are looking for a cute game that offers something for everyone.
